#26 Re: Product Discussion » My iPhone SE will not center nor stabilize properly - very unhappy » 2016-12-20 04:10:30

Key difference is software has no material cost, no shipping cost, no procedure required for passing customs to avoid incurring additional tax when returning for refund as a phycial gimbal product does. So refund for a physical product takes more procedure steps than software.

Other iPhone SE and iPhone 5S customers didn't have problem using ProView S3. We would be glad to assist you getting it working correctly if you can provide us a video showing how you are using the gimbal.

We can refund you as described above or in the email, but need you to first clear the chargeback dispute you filed with Indiegogo.

#27 Re: Product Discussion » My iPhone SE will not center nor stabilize properly - very unhappy » 2016-12-20 02:10:15

We have customers using iPhone 5S and SE without problem. As mentioned previously, if the received gimbal is defective, we'll make free replacement. But need customer's assistance to provide a video for us to determine if it's usage issue or gimbal issue, if it's usage issue, we can easily identify and tell customer what's done wrong and have the issue quickly resolved.

About your payment, Indiegogo and Paypal took about 10%, we only received around 90%. For refund on non-defective product, we can refund you the balance after restoration cost to sell-able state is deducted if you ship the product back to us.

#28 Re: Product Discussion » My iPhone SE will not center nor stabilize properly - very unhappy » 2016-12-20 01:17:07

> It always shakes, unlike any gimbal I've ever used.

Out of 2,400 gimbals we shipped, less than a dozen has real hardware issue, and we do make free replacement for the customer. To determine if it's real hardware issue or usage issue, we need customer to assist making a video showing the way the gimbal is used, as described in paragraph 5 of the Usage Notice: http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4  Upon seeing the video, if it's usage issue, we can easily identify and tell customer what's done wrong and have the issue quickly resolved.

Normally the 4 step setup procedure takes 5 ~ 10 minutes to complete. Afterwards on normal use, it takes less than 20 sec to mount and balance the phone and power on to use it. Thus most customers don't have issue using ProView S3.

#29 Re: Product Discussion » My iPhone SE will not center nor stabilize properly - very unhappy » 2016-12-19 22:53:22

Before the newer $299 Osmo Mobile came out with sliding arm design, all earlier smartphone gimbals on the market (from Feiyu, Zhiyun, Swiftcam, IKAN...) all need to slide the phone to get balanced. People use iPhone 5S or Phone SE without problem, sliding out similarly as we shown in the 1st video. The 2nd video is made by a customer is using iPhone 5S, which is same in size as iPhone SE.

Those 4 setup procedure need only to be done once prior to using the gimbal. Afterwards when using the gimbal, just need to put the phone to the phone grip, balance it, and turn on gimbal to use; same as using any other smartphone gimbal on the market.

Please see FAQ #1, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=37

> Camera won't stay 'centered' to the gimbal and I did the horizontal video.

If you mean keeping phone horizontal level, please see update #3, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=49

If there is still problem, please kindly provide a video as paragraph 5 of Usage Notice describes on how to report issue, to allow us better understanding of your problem and to assist. Thanks.

#31 Re: Product Discussion » Noise Problem » 2016-12-19 08:18:24

Please see FAQ #6, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … d=158#p158

DJI Osmo Mobile mainly has pan-follow mode only, which is how most people use gimbal to shoot video. Can simply set it to pan-follow mode before running camera App to avoid recording operation mode change button click sound.

Hi RobertH,

With any 5V USB wall adapter, the charger should light up with blue or red color. Nowadays phone charger typically have 5V 2A capability; earlier some smaller 5V 0.7A capacity one will still work, just take longer time.

What is the current supply capability of the 5V USB adapter you are using? If you still have this charger problem, please upload a video to your Google Drive or Dropbox and provide a link for us to see how the charger lights show in order to better understand the problem. Thanks.

#33 Re: Product Discussion » Phone TILTED down on the LEFT side even after pairing » 2016-12-16 02:57:34

Hi Petr_K,

If you are referring to phone still slanting after doing sensor calibration, we added a permanent adjustment fix in the latest App and gimbal firmware update. Please see Update Note #3: http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=49  After updating your App and gimbal firmware, you'll have this function.

#34 Re: Product Discussion » toggle U/D and toggle L/R » 2016-12-13 06:37:40

Just tested, it does seem to work and remember the U/D & L/R toggle setting after re-cycling power.

Latest gimbal firmware version is 1.36  We made another firmware update since the previous announcement fixing joystick controlled pan/tilt speed setting also affecting non-joystick controlled pan/tilt speed.

Hi supernate77,

Did you have chance to go over the ProView S3 Usage Notice that we repeatedly ask users to go over on every campaign Update recently, and also in the FedEx tracking number shipping notice email?

If following the tutorial video doing the 4 required steps and still have problem, see FAQ #1: http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=37

If still having problem, see 5th paragraph of ProView S3 Usage Notice on how to reporting issue, in order to give us better understanding of your problem, in order to assist.

Thank you.

#39 Re: Product Discussion » Can't pass step 3 - Shaking when trying to set the weight » 2016-12-02 09:00:25

Hi Remeo,

Could you please follow steps in below to try again?

(1) Remove the App and reinstall it.
(2) Upgrade the software for PVS3 by new App you installed in (1).
(3) Do the sensor calibration as you did in video.
(4) Do the pairing phone as you did in video.

If same problem remains after doing above steps, please send mail to customer.services@navin.com.tw and we will launch
a RMA process for you.

#40 Re: Product Discussion » Can't pass step 3 - Shaking when trying to set the weight » 2016-11-30 23:16:18

Possibly is due to flipped the phone holder to the wrong side. Also remove the rubber cap, see if it helps.

#41 Re: Product Discussion » Inconsistent Bluetooth connection » 2016-11-29 07:34:16

If enabling Controlling REC function to start/stop video recording with click of joystick, the Bluetooth interface will become very slow in response. See if you've enabled this. Disabling this Controlling REC function will make the Bluetooth connection more responsive.

#42 Re: Product Discussion » Can't pass step 3 - Shaking when trying to set the weight » 2016-11-29 06:36:48

Unless the Pairing Phone process doesn't finish, otherwise never-mind about the shake, it intentionally does that to measure some phone + gimbal combined parameters.

Please help record video using another phone to allow us better understand the issue if still having problem.

#44 Re: Product Discussion » Additional batteries? » 2016-11-27 05:56:56

Looks good. It's 700mAh type, a little lower than the 900mAh type supplied.

#45 Re: Product Discussion » Gimbal storage » 2016-11-27 05:53:11

Dry box would be perfect. If storing for many months with gimbal already shut down from low battery, then it's better to remove the batteries from the gimbal to store.

An update for the ProView S3 App and gimbal firmware have been released this week with below features:

1. User can enter 4 digit security PIN code for his App and gimbal, to avoid another nearby ProView S3 user using his App to set his/her gimbal parameters to your gimbal. In case the phone is restored to factory default state and the 4 digit security PIN code is forgotten, using the firmware update method described in the ProView S3 Quick Start Tutorial will reset the gimbal’s 4 digit security PIN code to 0000 default value. If PIN code of the App does not match gimbal’s, the selections in the Settings page will not show in blue color.

2. Some customers prefer aviator mode of steering the camera angle. That is when joystick is pushed left/right/up/down, the camera angle is steered right/left/down/up. “Toggle L/R Control” and “Toggle U/D Control” setup option is added to allow this feature.

3. After doing sensor calibration, if phone is still slanted a bit when properly mounted, using horizontal level adjustment method described in the Horizontal Level Adjustment Tutorial video, it’s forgotten when powered off. “Horizontal Level Adjust” is added to the App to allow manual adjustment to have permanent effect.

4. Some users feel the panning and tilting speed controlled by joystick is too fast. “Tilt Speed Adjust” and “Pan Speed Adjust” is added to allow user to set the preferred speed.

Users not needing above features do not have to update. If needing any of the above feature, both the App and the gimbal firmware need to be updated.

#48 Re: Product Discussion » Additional batteries? » 2016-11-24 10:19:59

Hi speed_dragon,

Those vendors seem sloppy. The dimension numbers all look a bit strange. Please ask them if their 18350 battery meets below requirement:

1. button top
2. No protection PCB
3. about 35.5mm length & 18mm diameter. There is a spring on the battery screw, so slight variation in length will be OK.

#49 Re: Product Discussion » Some very big motor noises and vibrations » 2016-11-23 11:04:12

Hi TomeK,

It appears the gimbal may not be properly setup. Assume you have done the 4 steps mentioned in the Usage Notice before, http://bit.ly/2equgCn, could you use anther phone to record video of the gimbal showing below?

1. Begin from gimbal is powered off. Balance the phone.
2. Power on gimbal. Hold it on a desk to do pairing phone tuning.
3. When finished, change to pan follow mode, maneuver the gimbal like (4:42 ~5:15) https://vimeo.com/187616355 and see if it vibrates
4. Afterwards maneuver the gimbal in the way that you say it vibrates

When doing step 4, avoid holding in 45 degree angle position to maneuver the gimbal. Check out FAQ #1 before recording, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=37

A video like something on the left would help understanding possible cause, http://bit.ly/2g79Z7f

Hi rrg123,

We used iOS 9 and 10 without problem. Please see if below sequence would help in your situation:

1. From phone's Bluetooth control, unpair the already paired ProView S3 device
2. Turn off Phone Bluetooth, kill ProView S3 App process, turn off gimbal
3. Turn on phone’s Bluetooth
4. Turn on gimbal
5. If you see ProView S3 is in Bluetooth list, press it so that the phone gets paired with gimbal
6. Launch ProView S3 app, then you should be able connect with gimbal
