If enabled, the push button on ProView S3 works like volume up/down keys on your phone. You configure your recording app so that the volume up/down keys act as recording control, and then you can use ProView S3's push button as recording start/stop control.

Hi Michael,
Try to switch off and on the iPhone's Bluetooth, and then gets iPhone connected with ProView S3. You do not need to launch app once you have enabled the controlling REC function.
As for iOS app, please try the newly released version 1.13, in which this is fixed. Thank you.
