iPhone 7 Horizon continuously drifts to the right.

I'm having trouble getting my stabilizer to keep a level horizon. With a phone in, and without a phone in it the horizon slowly drifts, tilting to the right.

I've gone through all the steps numerous times, from deleting the app and re downloading, all the way through adjusting the horizon level. It still continues to slowly drift to the right until it eventually reaches the end of its range and starts juddering like crazy.

I've tried calibrating on many flat surfaces with various levels of pressure applied to make sure the device is level. During phone pairing the I can watch the horizon continue to drift.

Everything seems to be working just great if it weren't for the ever changing horizon. I can even hear the motor slightly, slowly but surely moving the horizon to the right.

I've spent days going through each step time and time again. Can you offer me any solutions?

Hi josiah,

Assuming you have done the 4 required setup procedures before using the gimbal, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4, and balanced the phone prior to power up the gimbal and still having this problem, can you use another phone to help make a video showing the drift problem? Maybe from powered off state to turning gimbal on, holding gimbal upright to see it drift? After see the video, we can better understand if it's usage issue or gimbal issue. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. Here is a link to a video of the phone drifting.

Re: iPhone 7 Horizon continuously drifts to the right.

Hi josiah,

One possible cause for such drift is during sensor calibration there was some movement, causing gyroscope measurement error, resulting in later such drifting.

Please see doing 1:48 ~ 3:15  https://vimeo.com/187616355, making sure no movement while pressing the phone grip doing sensor calibration would solve the problem. If the problem persists, then should be gimbal related issue, please send an email to customer.services@navin.com.tw and we'll arrange for replacement.
