Not Pairing with iPhone

I received the S3 today. After charging the batteries I place the S3 in the setting mode like the video says (held power button for 8 seconds). My phone's app or Bluetooth settings does not see the S3. iPhone 7 with iOS10.0

Also in the app when searching Ching for a device, the app says "sacning". Should be "scanning"

You have to do a firmware update first before it could sync properly to the iPhone. So put the ProView S3 in firmware update mode. The app will update the device after it sees it under the firmware update mode. The phone went to sleep on me during the process though, which stopped to firmware update. So remember to touch the screen or something once in a while.

This product is giving me grieves. It keeps stuttering no matter which tuning I've done. And when I tilt it to face up, the whole thing started to shake earth quake like. Also, apps keeps crashing and the brushless axis is very noisy. Also, your inbox for info@ is completely full as I'm trying to send videos but got bounced back. Quite a disappointing experience so far

not like in the add at all, after perfect balancing I start to pair.
The proview needs to be on for that, so i start with pushing ON and after 5 secs the proview goes on and I quickly push the app also on on the Phone. Then the missery begins, the proview acts like a madman doing all kinds of shaking and making very strange loud noises! it looks and sounds very bad and its not good for the brushes I think! Its shaking so much that you cant operate the app on the phone at all! Also the app is displaying up side down! tried everything including flushing etc. But for now a very bad start for me and I dont have the feeling this will be solved. You told us quality was important before shipping, well not the case with my proview S3 this was not checked I think.
Hope you can solve this soon!

   Not sure if you have chance to read our requirement notice (or something similar in tracking number notice email) of needing user to perform 4 procedures before the gimbal can be used: http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4  Unfortunately the gimbal will definitely go crazy if firmware is not first updated.

   Please follow the steps in the Quick Start Tutorial to perform the required 4 procedures. Also good to pull off the rubber used for portrait mode for now.

   If you encounter problem, take a video of the gimbal showing problem, starting before powering on, to when the problem is occurring. Having a video to see, will allow us to identify possible cause quickly. Rest assured that most could get it working without any assistance. Some percentage that need help, the issues usually are resolved quickly if the user could show us a video. Thank you.

I allready did the firmware update and follow all the steps!!, still a shaking mess.
uploading video is not possible see above mail from J2hdwd also
you gues keep pushing about the steps but its all very unclear and we followed the steps!
screen also look very different in video and so on.

- i did the firmware update
- balance ok
- start the proview, and after that the app
- normally i need to start pairing, but that does not matter, in both situations HAvy shaking and loud noise

Hi bwired,

   Please remove phone, flip phone grip 180 degree clockwise over roll axis, then mount the phone. The way you mount the phone is mirror image of what we showed in the tutorials. This cause problems.

I am also unable to pair the Proview S3 with my iPhone even though I have followed all directions very carefully. I am getting a very sporadic response from the gimbal.

Hi Atomic518,

Please try:

1. Turn off Phone Bluetooth, kill ProView S3 App process, turn off gimbal,
2. Turn on phone’s Bluetooth
3. Turn on gimbal
4. Press Scan to refresh Bluetooth devices list (skip this in iOS)
5. If you see ProView S3 is in Bluetooth list, press it so that the phone gets paired with gimbal
6. Launch ProView S3 app, then you should be able connect with gimbal

If still problem, please provide a video for us to better understand. Thanks.

Not pairing with iPhone 7 plus, I have followed the quick start video time over time please help resolve. I have selected 188g for the weight & several different weights.

Hi kwkistler,

   This message occurs usually due to entered "phone total weight" is much different from actual value, or used balance weight or not chosen incorrectly. See if using bare phone, balance the phone prior to power on the gimbal, do pairing phone auto-tuning and choose 188 gram and with wight balance. See if then works OK.

I have balanced the iPhone 7 Plus with the balance weight then turn on the gimble & launch the app to connect. Then I go to pairing & choose 188 grams the gimble vibrates slightly but fails to pair. You mention to select "auto-tuning" where is this option. Please help come up with a working solution or send me a working unit or refund my money. Thanks KK

   We have iPhone 7 PLUS, and other customers that have iPhone 7 PLUS didn't seem to have issue. Not sure what caused problem in your case. Please see if can provide a video as 5th paragraph of the Usage Notice describes, to allow us better understanding of your problem.

Now I have tried a second iPhone 6S with the balance weight then turn on the gimbal & launch the app to connect. Then I go to pairing & choose 143 grams the gimbal vibrates slightly but fails to pair. Please send me a NEW ProView unit or refund my money. Hi Kraig,

In your video, was the gimbal vibrating a bit when doing the Phone Pairing process? If yes, can you try removing the rubber cap for portrait shooting mode and see if it could then successfully complete the phone pairing process? Also iPhone 6S should need to add balance weight, try adding the balance weight, and balance the phone before turning it on.

If the gimbal simply flashed LED and has no movement, send an email to customer.services@navin.com.tw, saying you are kwkistler from this thread, and provide us your order number or email used when ordering. Thanks.
