With the new update of the proview S3 app combining with ios 10.1 to 10.3.2, it gives error on pairing with the phones bluetooth. It will connect during calibration and initial setup. But once you click the pairing phone on the proview app, it will give you the error and wont get the info of your device. So it means we loose the capability to take picture using the MFB of the proview S3. sad

Hi Akoba,

I assume the pairing you mentioned is the BT pairing, if yes could you please try following steps?

(1) Forget the "ProView S3" from "MY DEVICES" in the Bluetooth Settings of iOS
(2) Upgrade firmware of Proview S3 (not necessary if you could connect to S3 with App and enter configuration page)
(3) In Settings page of App, make sure the "Controlling REC" is on
(4) Back to Bluetooth Settings of iOS, do the pairing process if "ProView S3" is present in "OTHER DEVICES"

Without a video as paragraph #5 of Usage Notice describes, we are unable to tell if it's maneuvered out of operating range issue or gimbal hardware problem, thus difficult for us to provide further assistance, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4

#5 Re: Product Discussion » Swings Wildly » 2017-06-22 02:03:39

Hi DutchKoru,

Please see FAQ #1 regarding the vibration issue, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=37

Please see paragraph #5 of Usage Notice on how to allow us to better understanding of your problem in order to provide further assistance, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4

Thank you.

Hi ginos,

   Please see if FAQ #6 helps, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=37

If not,  a video as 5th paragraph describes would help us quickly identify if it's usage issue or gimbal problem, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4   Thanks.

#7 Re: Product Discussion » Additional batteries? » 2017-04-28 05:52:11

One can see that the shipped battery is a bit loose in ProView S3 battery compartment, so there is room to accommodate slightly larger diameter 18350 battery, Also there is a spring on the battery cap and it needs to be screw tightened. So one should be able to make educated guess if online batteries with slightly different numbers would work or not. We prefer not to directly reply yes or no, to avoid being held accountable if those listed battery spec aren't exactly as what's shipped. Thanks for understanding.

No time lapse function, sorry.

#9 Re: Product Discussion » Still can't get it to work ... » 2017-04-28 05:41:50

Hi neophytte,

Generally such issue is related to holding the gimbal in orientation outside its design range. See if FAQ #1 helps: http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=37

If there is still problem, a video as 5th paragraph describes would help us quickly identify if it's usage issue or gimbal problem, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4

   Thank you.

#11 Re: Product Discussion » Size Does Matter... » 2017-02-13 15:51:23

The phone holder accommodates phone width of 51mm ~ 83mm.

It does not support GoPro. But we've seen some customers use GoPro Adapter made other phone gimbal with ProView S3, such as https://www.amazon.com/gouduoduo2018-Ad … B01LYX4ELR  We do not guarantee whether it works or not though.

Hi Robert,

Sorry about not replying earlier. Your Feb 1 posting didn’t end in completion, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=93 . We were expecting you to come back and finish editing before replying, thus took no action seeing the posting.

Regarding the problems you experienced, did you have chance to go over the Usage Notice, spend 5 ~ 10 minutes doing the initialization procedures, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4 ?

If you have done the above initialization procedures, please see if FAQ #1 & #6 helps: http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=37

If still having problem, please provide video as 5th paragraph of Usage Notice describes, to allow us better understanding of the problem and assist. Thank you.

#13 Re: Product Discussion » Not Pairing with iPhone » 2017-01-24 06:30:30

Hi Kraig,

In your video, was the gimbal vibrating a bit when doing the Phone Pairing process? If yes, can you try removing the rubber cap for portrait shooting mode and see if it could then successfully complete the phone pairing process? Also iPhone 6S should need to add balance weight, try adding the balance weight, and balance the phone before turning it on.

If the gimbal simply flashed LED and has no movement, send an email to customer.services@navin.com.tw, saying you are kwkistler from this thread, and provide us your order number or email used when ordering. Thanks.

#14 Re: Product Discussion » Tilt Axis and Roll Axis does not work. » 2017-01-12 13:01:05

There is extra paint coating on the balance weight, causing slight difficulty in putting it on. Simply aim correctly and apply a bit of force turning it, keeping it centered when turning applying force. Once it's properly fitted, the extra paint comes off, and it'll be easy to mount or remove the balance weight.

The video you showed is exactly the same as your first posting. Please see my reply on 2017-01-06 09:18:59. We need your help to provide a video, as described in my reply, for us to determine if it’s usage issue or gimbal issue. Thanks.

#15 Re: Product Discussion » Additional batteries? » 2017-01-11 07:28:04

Hi plmartins,

Not all country allow shipping of battery by itself, so we didn't offer online. You can write mandy.lin@navin.com.tw to ask about purchase of battery if we can ship for your country. Alternatively, customers can simply look for 18350 battery, without protection circuit, button top type, 18mm diameter, 35mm height on Amazon, eBay, or online electronics shops and get them locally.

#16 Re: Product Discussion » iPhone 7 Horizon continuously drifts to the right. » 2017-01-10 08:24:50

Hi josiah,

One possible cause for such drift is during sensor calibration there was some movement, causing gyroscope measurement error, resulting in later such drifting.

Please see doing 1:48 ~ 3:15  https://vimeo.com/187616355, making sure no movement while pressing the phone grip doing sensor calibration would solve the problem. If the problem persists, then should be gimbal related issue, please send an email to customer.services@navin.com.tw and we'll arrange for replacement.

Hi josiah,

Assuming you have done the 4 required setup procedures before using the gimbal, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4, and balanced the phone prior to power up the gimbal and still having this problem, can you use another phone to help make a video showing the drift problem? Maybe from powered off state to turning gimbal on, holding gimbal upright to see it drift? After see the video, we can better understand if it's usage issue or gimbal issue. Thank you.

#19 Re: Product Discussion » Tilt Axis and Roll Axis does not work. » 2017-01-06 09:18:59

Within smaller angle rotating from upright 0-degree holding position, I see there is some vibration. Not sure if you have spent couple minutes doing the 4 required setup procedure mentioned in Usage Notice before using the gimbal, http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4 ?   If you have and still having vibration problem, see if you can provide a video of below for us:

1. Begin from when gimbal is powered off. Remember to balance the phone first.
2. Power on gimbal. Hold it on a desk to do pairing phone tuning.
3. When finished, change to pan follow mode, maneuver the gimbal like (4:42 ~5:15) https://vimeo.com/187616355 and see if there is problem

For the larger swing over 45 degree and collapsed (0:08), it's over gimbal operating range. When recording video no one intentionally swings like that. Please see 3rd paragraph of above Usage Notice and also FAQ #1 & #6: http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … .php?id=37

#20 Re: Product Discussion » ProView S3 Frequently Asked Questions » 2017-01-05 03:15:15

Once gimbal turns off when App reach 100% it then successfully updated gimbal firmware. Please simply kill the App that stuck, it's not a real problem. We are still trying to find out about this problem, not sure why unable to see the issue on the iPhones we have in the office.

#21 Re: Product Discussion » Unable to configure » 2017-01-03 03:49:47

Please remove the rubber cap for portrait shooting mode. Make sure back of the phone is fully against the phone grip leaving no vacant space. If still unable to complete Pairing Phone process, please provide us a video to see the problem in order to determine cause. Thank you.

#22 Re: Product Discussion » Crazy Behavior- Help Needed » 2016-12-24 15:01:19

Hi Steve,

Generally the gimbal should only be turned on when phone is mounted. Please make sure you gone through Usage Notice and took 5 ~ 10 minutes following the tutorial video to go over the required 4 step setup procedure.

http://www.servicenavin.com/proviews3_f … c.php?id=4

Hi LordHog,

Hope the Usage Notice and below FAQ could help clarify some initial usage questions.

As soon as Indiegogo processed your chargeback dispute removal request and cleared the “on hold” status for your order, we’ll start the refund process. Thank you for your help.

It's odd that this 2-axis SMOVE Smartphone Stabilizer device:

1. Unable to stabilize well when in motion, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlS375GkhLE  (2:25 ~ 2:40)
2. When mounted on tripod, cannot pan horizontal to do face tracking or 360 panorama
3. When placed horizontal, cannot tilt to aim correctly to do face tracking or 360 panorama unless holding by hand at appropriate height.

could top smartphone gimbal record with over 7,400 pre-orders and continually growing. Quite beyond comprehension!

The chargeback dispute notice email we received from Indiegogo, they ask us not to do anything until the credit card company decides whether the chargeback stands or over-turned, which could take up to 75 days. Thus we are unable to proceed with return and refund process.

If you like to speed up return and refund process, please help clear the chargeback dispute you filed with Indiegogo first. Thank you.
